1. Find the shortcut to the RIOT trainer in the start menu.
2. RIGHT-CLICK on the shortcut
3. Highlight and click Properties.
4. Select the compatibility tab.
5. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows
NT 4.0 (SP5)
6. Check the checkbox next to "Run in 640x480 screen resolution"
7. OK, and run the RIOT trainer as usual. You will notice the MAG compass is
now displayed.
Select "RMI Fail"
to kill the RMI for practice MAG compass turns.
Be sure to select "TH-57" for aircraft type.
To force the RIOT trainer to remember the aircraft type:
Add the line "AIRCRAFT=T34C", "AIRCRAFT=T44", or "AIRCRAFT=TH57" (without the quotes) to the Riot.INI file located in C:\WINDOWS. I don't know if the .ini file is always installed in the windows folder, but you can always search for it (In order to search for Riot.INI you have to allow the search to search hidden files and folders).
